New Year's Eve at 10:45 Emma Grace Cassady arrived weighing 6 lbs. 12 oz. and measuring 20 inches long. She is gorgeous! She has a head full of black hair....big beautiful eyes with pretty little eyelashes....and little sweet eyebrows. She has Charles's mouth....and we think his feet and hands. She came out alert and ready for the world! She loves to suck on her little fingers....did I mention she was adorable! Katie was a trooper and Charles was precious! He lapsed back and forth between daddy mode and doctor mode.THEN....surprise....this morning we got the call that Jenny, my cousin and Tim, her husband had their baby! He was not expected for another week or so.....but arrived just about 12 hours after Emma. He will be a New Year's baby......2009 is looking like a happier year for the Russell family! What a beautiful way to usher in the new year with the birth of babies. It is a new year we will never forget. As we traveled home from the hospital there were fireworks going off in the distance....it felt like the world was celebrating with us! .....entry by Gabby!
